New Member Spotlight – Terri Lemere Healthy Home Living Solutions, LLC

Please welcome Terri Lemere with Healthy Home Living Solutions, LLC – A solo practitioner who specializes in home safety, home modification and aging in place and practices in  Frederick, Montgomery, Washington, Howard, Carroll Counties in Maryland.

Terri has been offering home safety assessments and aging in place consultation services in her business for the last 2 years.  She also co-admin a local Facebook group, called Aging in Place in Frederick County – Resources and Support.  This group has grown to almost 900 members, and consists of professionals in the local aging sector as well as members of our community.  Throughout her 25 years as an Occupational Therapist, her recent years as a business owner, and her engagement in this Facebook group, she realized that she loves connecting people with resources.  She feels like everything she’s done in her professional life has led her to this new venture of being an Aging Life Care Manager!

Terri hopes to continue to gain, support from other ALCA members and the organization! It’s been so amazing to go from feeling like she’s “on an island” as a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (the only OT in her area doing strictly home safety assessments as far as she knows!) to being a part of a network of professionals who share a common goal – to holistically serve our clients to help them live their best lives!

Terri is passionate about helping others navigate the healthcare “maze”, and showing people where to turn. On one hand, there are SO many resources available, but on the other hand, older adults may not know what is available and how to access these resources. She feels strongly that Aging Life Care Managers have the opportunity to steer our clients down the right path for them, saving our clients time, frustration and even money!

In her freetime, she loves spending time with her family – exploring our beautiful area (Frederick County, MD), listening to live music, playing with my Chesapeake Bay Retriever, boating on Deep Creek Lake, and occasionally belting out a song!
