Corporate Partner Spotlight – Aging in Place Essential Toolkit

Please welcome Aging in Place Essential Toolkit™ as a new corporate partner, to ALCA.  Aging in Place Essential Toolkit is an online service located in Glastonbury CT. Ira   The online toolkit provides information for unpaid family caregivers who might be in need of an Aging Life Care Specialist.

Ira W Yellen, Founder and President, is originally from Livingston, NJ. Ira tells us, “We market and promote ALCA members to our targeted audience. Our website reaches and engages anywhere from 1500 to 3000 users to our website. Our target market is 50 and over, mostly women who are unpaid family caregivers.”

Ira and his wife and were family caregivers for over 15 years. He learned first-hand what it takes to take care of a loved one. Having met many family caregivers online and in person, and having an advertising and marketing firm, he decided to create an online support system that provides families with information and access to the services and products to ease day-to-day responsibility.

Ira is especially passionate about making fellow baby boomers prepare now for when they will have to plan and manage their daily living needs. Says Ira, “Planning now will be the key for people with limited human and financial resources. Many of my them are delaying or ignoring their aging needs. I call it the “Woodstock Syndrome” – denial for accepting how aging will affect their quality of life.”
