Member Spotlight: Sharon Dickol

Delaware might be a little state but is not to be forgotten in the Mid- Atlantic region of the Aging Life Care Association. There are currently just three Aging Life Care Professionals in the state of Delaware to be more precise! All are located in New Castle County, where the largest concentration of older adults reside.

We are highlighting Sharon Dickol as our member spotlight for February of 2016. Sharon has been a member of Aging Life Care Association since 2011 and has taken an active role on Mid Atlantic’s Public Relations Committee.

Sharon opened her own practice, AgeWise Solutions, in September 2013 and recently brought on board Celeste Galati, an experienced Social Worker and Geriatric Care Manager. In her practice, Sharon aims to deliver person-centered care with added focus on the needs of family caregivers. She maintains an ongoing blog with helpful tips for her clients and the public, who benefit from her ideas and support.

Sharon holds an undergraduate degree in Special Education from the College of New Jersey and earned her Master’s certificate in Geriatric Care Management from the University of Florida in 2005. She is also a 2008 graduate of the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (N4A) Leadership Institute. You can read more about Sharon and her services at www.agewisesolutions.com.
