Member Spotlight – Susan Cantrell

Please welcome Susan Cantrell of Aging Life Matters, LLC in Ashland, VA. A solo practitioner, Susan covers the areas of Northwest Richmond, Glen Allen, Short Pump, and the counties of Hanover, Henrico, Goochland, Caroline and Louisa.

Prior to establishing her business, over the last 35 years Susan worked in non-profit services to seniors, assisted living and life care communities. She holds a certificate in aging studies from VCU, and she is a past licensed nursing home administrator. She has a BA in Human Services and a minor in Psychology from Elon University.

Hoping to become certified this year, Susan is also looking forward to the professional support, friendships and networking within ALCA. She is passionate about the overall health and wellness of “elder orphans,” especially those in small towns and rural settings.

Susan has many personal interests – reading, hiking, time with family, gardening, being at the beach or in the mountains.
