Member Spotlight – Meg Pemberton

Meet Meg Pemberton, MHA, BSN, RN, CSA of ElderCare Connections. Meg practices in Fredericksburg, Virginia, including the counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania and Stafford. She tells us that as a Registered Nurse, she has always had a passion for seniors. Even as she navigated her own parent’s journey, she feels fortunate to have had the support of a Geriatric Care Manager.

Meg practices as a sole practitioner. This is her second career, having practiced for 33 years in the hospital setting. She likes to focus on aging in place, and what that means for her clients. “It’s important to me to build a relationship with trust while honoring the goals and desires of the client,” says Meg.

In joining ALCA, Meg is hoping that she will continue to gain knowledge regarding aging, get to know her peers, and learn from their experiences and mentorship. As the daughter of one who had Alzheimer’s, Meg says she naturally gravitates to it. She and her family walk every year to raise money to help find the first survivor.

In her free time, Meg enjoys reading, kayaking, walking, swimming, and spending time with her family.

Meg can be reached at mpemberton@eldercareconnections.net.

Welcome to ALCA, Meg!
